Following renovations in the 1980s, these tables and other furnishings were moved to the top floor of the Alice Street wing into an area that had previously been used for servants’ accommodation.
POINT OF INTEREST:
CARD TABLE
The card table and set of chairs in the corner of the Billiards Room is a memento of one of Parliament’s many royal visits. The suite bears the crest of the Prince of Wales and was a gift from his stay at Parliament House during the 1920 visit to Brisbane.
