The Business Committee is established by Sessional Order 3 of the 57th Parliament.

The Clean Economy Jobs, Resources and Transport Committee of the 57th Parliament was established by the Queensland Legislative Assembly on 13 February 2024 as a portfolio committee. The committee has responsibility for the following portfolio areas: Energy and Clean Economy Jobs Resources and Critical Minerals Transport and Main Roads and Digital Services

The committee has the following areas of responsibility— (a) the ethical conduct of members; (b) parliamentary powers, rights and immunities; (c) standing rules and orders about the conduct of business by, and the practices and the procedures of, the Assembly and its committees; (d) any other matters for which the committee is given

The Community Safety and Legal Affairs Committee of the 57th Parliament was established by the Queensland Legislative Assembly on 13 February 2024 as a portfolio committee with responsibility for the following portfolio areas: • Justice and Attorney General • Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence • Police and Community Safety • Fire and Disaster Recovery • Corrective Services

The Community Support and Services Committee of the 57th Parliament was established by the Queensland Legislative Assembly on 26 November 2020 as a portfolio committee with responsibility for the following areas: Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Communities and the Arts, Housing, Child Safety, Seniors and Disability Services.

The Cost of Living and Economics Committee of the 57th Parliament was established by the Queensland Legislative Assembly on 13 February 2024 as a portfolio committee with responsibility for the following areas: Premier and Cabinet, and Treasury, Trade and Investment.

The Education, Employment, Training and Skills Committee of the 57th Parliament was established by the Queensland Legislative Assembly on 13 February 2024 as a portfolio committee. The committee has responsibility for the following portfolio areas: • Education and Youth Justice • Employment, Small Business, Training and Skills Development

The committee’s areas of responsibility as set out in section 104B of the Parliament of Queensland Act 2001 are as follows: dealing with complaints about the ethical conduct of particular members; and dealing with alleged breaches of parliamentary privilege by members of the Assembly and other persons.

The Health, Environment and Agriculture Committee of the 57th Parliament was established by the Queensland Legislative Assembly on 13 February 2024 as a portfolio committee responsibility for the following areas: Health, Mental Health, Ambulance Services and Women, Agricultural Industry Development, Fisheries and Rural Communities, Environment, Great Barrier Reef, Science and Innovation.

The Housing, Big Build and Manufacturing Committee of the 57th Parliament was established by the Queensland Legislative Assembly on 13 February 2024 as a portfolio committee. The committee has responsibility for the following portfolio areas: State Development, Infrastructure, Industrial Relations and Racing; Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works; Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water

The Parliamentary Crime and Corruption Committee is established under the Crime and Corruption Act 2001. The principal functions of the committee are to monitor and review the performance of the functions of the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC), to report to Parliament on matters relevant to the CCC, and to participate in the selection of Commissioners of the CCC.
