The President’s Balcony also overlooks the Speakers’ Corner – a space dedicated to encouraging Queenslanders to speak and engage in open debate.
Located in the George Street forecourt outside Parliament House, this space is commonly used for public rallies and peaceful protests, with the aim of gaining Members’ attention inside the Chamber.
