Program Overview
The Parliamentary Education Seminar program aims to enhance a student's knowledge and understanding of the processes of Parliament and Government in Queensland. These workshops are free of charge and aimed at senior Legal Studies classes.

Maximum group size - 50 students*
*Due to extensive building works on the precinct throughout the year, which will limit access to teaching spaces, some dates will have a maximum capacity of 30 students. If you have a larger group to book in, please check all suitable dates.
Subject to group size and availability, an education program may include the following:
- A Tour of Parliament House
- An introduction to Parliament and Government, including an explanation of the division of power and the separation of powers
- An address by a Member of Parliament (subject to availability)
- Viewing Parliament in Action (on Parliamentary sitting days)
- DVD clips to bring the legislative process to life
- A role play of the passage of a Bill through the Legislative Assembly*
- A role play of a Parliamentary Committee of inquiry*
*a minimum of 15 students is required to run a role play
