The petition of electors of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House: to advise the Government of their opposition to the proposed alumina refinery residue dump at Woodstock. Your petitioners therefore request the House to: immediately take note of these concerns based on the toxic and unsightly nature of emissions and the hazards of red mud waste disposal as well as the impacts these substances may have on the long term health and wellbeing of the residents and the environment of Woodstock.
