The petition of the citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the alarming level of homophobia in the Queensland community as evidenced in recent research from Latrobe University and reports in local media. Your petitioners therefore request the House to order an urgent review of the effectiveness of the delivery of the Health and Physical Education Curriculum in Year 9 of all Queensland High Schools, specifically those topics which relate to sexual identity, sexual orientation, heterosexism and homophobia.
