Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House, once again, the urgent need to upgrade the bus services between Beenleigh Railway Station and Ormeau Railway Station, which includes services throughout the Jacobs ridge and Ormeau Hills area.

With the recent announcement by the City of Gold Coast’s willingness to fund 50% of the cost of more than 100 additional services each day, we request the State Government to commit to jointly fund this much needed service.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to ensure the Department of Transport and Main Roads work with the City of Gold Coast to ensure funding is approved for the upgrade of bus services between Beenleigh Railway Station and Ormeau Railway Station, as a matter of urgency.
