TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the urgent need for an additional 35 police officers in the Northern Gold Coast. Having seen the construction of twelve new schools in 11 years, with two additional new schools opening in the next two years, it is clear the boom in population demands the need for 35 additional police officers, in the Northern Gold Coast, just to catch up with population growth. It is therefore essential in that, in order to adequately protect this fast-growing community and for the provision of services to the residents of the Coomera electorate, to provide 35 additional police officers prior to the new police station in Pimpama being opened, with a further review at its opening.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to fast track the provision of 35 additional police officers in the Coomera Police Division.
