Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the need to relocate the Broadwater Police Beat resources from the Coomera Police District to the Runaway Bay Police District.

Coomera Police District is struggling under a significant workload and is required to cover a geographical area from Yatala to Helensvale with less than 80 officers. There are two officers stationed at the Broadwater Police Beat who should be staffed and supported from Runaway Bay Police District, which is closer, more aligned geographically and provide better support.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to relocate the officers from the Broadwater Police Beat from Coomera to the Runaway Bay Police District, and in addition, increase the permanent police staffing allocation for the Northern Gold Coast.
