Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the failure of current legislation to stop ‘puppy farming’.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to seriously review and strengthen the legislation by introducing a more rigorous and meaningful Breeder Identification process, limiting numbers of breeding bitches, prohibiting sales of puppies online or by social media and enforcing compliance with the Mandatory Standards set out by law.
