TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland Residents draws to the attention of the House the proposed closure of the Jacobs Well to Beenleigh, once weekly "shoppers run" bus service in December 2017 and the urgent need to provide a public bus service for the residents of the Jacobs Well area. Jacobs Well is adjacent to the region identified as "the area that will accommodate the largest proportion of the sub regions planned greenfield growth" and is undergoing significant population growth in its own right. As such, Jacobs Well needs to be supported by appropriate infrastructure.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to ensure the people of Jacobs Well are provided with a reliable bus service to enable people to connect to the main transport hubs at Ormeau or Beenleigh.
