TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the need for sound proofing for the affected residential areas of the 8.2 kilometre rail corridor duplication between Coomera and Helensvale rail stations. All homes in the affected area were built more than 7 years before the rail corridor was built and residents have suffered significant loss of amenity and quality of life from rail noise levels.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to install full and appropriate sound proofing along the section of railway, being 8.2 kilometres of duplication, between Coomera and Helensvale stations.
