TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the Australian Tax Office's proposed GST ruling (GSTR 2013/D2) which removes a GST exemption/concession in respect of rent payments to owners of "moveable home estates".
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to request the Federal Government to direct the Australian Tax Office to withdraw this proposed GST ruling and to amend section 195-1 of the GST Law to include "mobile home estate" in the definition of "commercial residential premises".
