Responded By: Hon Mark McArdle MP on 1/07/2013

TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland Residents draws to the attention of the House that Campbell Newman promised to reduce the cost of living for Queenslanders, including a $120 a year saving on electricity bills. Instead, it's proposed that electricity prices will rise 21.4% for residential customers.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to call on the Premier and Minister McArdle to keep their election commitment to Queenslanders to address rising energy bills
