The petition of residents of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the unmaintained, unsafe and unworkable situation that currently exists with the public boat ramps at the Volunteer Marine Rescue Cannonvale (Altmann Avenue, Cannonvale), Airlie Beach (Port of Airlie) and Shute Harbour.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to fund the development of a safe harbour (including rockwall, relocated and enlarged ramp, public fishing platforms and public amenities) at the Volunteer Marine Rescue Cannonvale and to assist the Whitsunday Regional Council in their efforts to improve the boat ramp conditions and amenities at the Port of Airlie and Shute Harbour.
