TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the fact that the Government is considering options for use, including the disposal of the land that housed the college of TAFE in Seven Hills, known as the Morningside Campus of the Southbank Institute of Technology.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ensure that the building containing the theatre, canteen, library and meeting rooms (knowns as F Block) be retained as a community facility, making these spaces available for use by local residents and community groups.
