The Parliamentary Education team conducts public sector seminars for regional Queenslanders.
This comprehensive full day seminar will provide a detailed understanding of the relationship between the Parliament and the Executive, and of the roles and responsibilities of public servants within government and parliamentary processes.
The sessions will:
- canvass the legislative, scrutiny and financial functions of the Parliament
- detail the roles of Members of Parliament and their interaction with the public service and
- identify public service responsibilities in relation to the processes and practices of Parliament
- provide guidance as to how the parliamentary committee system works and what to expect if you are called to give evidence before one of these committees.
