Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the danger to drivers and pedestrians who travel through the intersection of David Low Way, Menzies Drive and Mudjimba Beach Road at Pacific Paradise due to the poor road design and the traffic generated by the shopping centre, school and other facilities. Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to urgently call on the Transport and Main Roads Minister to bring forward planned road upgrades to realign this intersection and provide for dedicated turning lanes with work beginning in 2006/2007 instead of by 2008/2009.
