Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that the Labor government’s mantra near election times has been No New Taxes. Yet new hospital car parks have been built or are being built and fees and charges imposed for their use by hospital patients. This is no less than a new tax on the sick or injured citizens.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all within its power to immediately cease the imposition of fees and charges for car parking on hospital patients because it is no less than a tax on the sick.
