The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that the intersection of Rangewood Drive and Hervey Range Road is a dangerous intersection for people living and traveling in this area. Hervey Range Road is heavily used by vehicles from Alice River, Mount Margaret, trucks and army vehicles.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House whilst widening and strengthening of Hervey Range Road commences to also include an upgrade of Rangewood Drive and Hervey Range Road intersection to include a merging lane heading towards the city of Townsville.
