TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Electors of the Ferny Grove draws to the attention of the House the Federal Government's decision to close the Gallipoli Barracks' Wanimo Street gate which has forced Defence personnel and contractors living in the Ferny Grove electorate to drive the long way around to get into work of a morning. This affects everyone who needs to use Samford Road to get to work or school.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to call on the Federal Government to re-open the Wanimo Street gate and stop adding needless traffic to our roads. Let people spend more time with their families and less time sitting in traffic on Samford Road.
