The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that Cooran State School has endured six principals in five years and is now due to lose a teacher who has been a constant part of our school community during those years and prior.  This lack of continuity in a small school of 185 students is having a negative impact on the education of our children.  Our curriculum co-ordinator, part time classroom teacher, specialty classes teacher and learning support teacher Jodi Hemphill is doing an amazing job in these roles, we believer that our children's education will be compromised should she be transferred away.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to retain Jodi Hemphill as a teacher at Cooran State School.
