TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The Electors of Whitsunday draws to the attention of the House that
Mackay’s Northern Beaches residents have only a two lane road as their
major access road and need the road upgraded to provide for safe access
to and from the Northern Beaches. Accidents on this section cause a
total shutdown of the road.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to upgrade the section of
Mackay-Bucasia Road between Eimeo Road turnoff and Mackay-Habana Road
turnoff to four lanes by June 2004.
