Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House news agencies are reporting our politicians are reluctant to disclose if they have been vaccinated for flu and COVID-19. This is alarming a lot of Queenslanders who are concerned about the influence of antivaxxers since 2019. We need to have confidence in our states' leaders to lead the way and encourage all of us to do as much as we can to remain healthy for ourselves and our community.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to require that all Members of the House declare if they have or have not been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and against this year’s flu strains. This may be considered a breach of their privacy but the job of being a politician is to put themselves out there to lead our community. Queenslanders have the right to know their elected representatives aren't antivaxxers.
