Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the reinstatement of a mobile life blood donation unit in our region. Since the closure of Maryborough blood bank a decade ago, our local population has grown significantly. Residents of the Maryborough electorate currently face barriers to donations due to the lack of facilities. A mobile lifeblood unit would provide a practical and flexible solution to reach a range of communities including Tiaro, Maryborough, Howard, Poona, Burrum Heads areas and beyond.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to cause the introduction of a mobile unit in the Maryborough region.
