Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the: 

• lack of vehicle passing lanes between Miles and Roma (distance of 140km), and to the west between Roma and Mitchell on the Warrego Highway;

• lack of a vehicle slip lane at the Warrego Highway Jackson Wandoan intersection for traffic travelling east; and

• need to lower the speed limit from 80km/h to 60km/h at Muckadilla.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all within their power to improve the safety of the Warrego Highway by:

• construction of at least two passing lanes between Miles and Roma, and at least one passing lane near Hodgson and others between Roma and Mitchell;

• constructing a slip lane at the Jackson Wandoan intersection for traffic travelling east; and 

• lowering the speed limit to 60km/h at Muckadilla.
