Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House, the need for support for a crucial school improvement project.

Over recent years Picnic Creek State School P&C Association raised necessary funds to provide outdoor bench-style seating and tables for the seniors' area. These additions will offer comfortable seating for senior students to use during break time, as well as serve as a space for breakout sessions during class time or for children who feel overwhelmed in the classroom setting.

The furniture is now on-site and ready to be installed. Before installation, the area needs to be concreted. The expense is beyond current financial capacity of the P&C, stalling project completion.

Completing this project will greatly enhance the educational environment at Picnic Creek State School and provide much-needed outdoor space for the senior students.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to enable these important facilities to be installed at Picnic Creek State School as a matter of urgency to enable the students to benefit from the resources that parents and the P&C have worked tirelessly to provide.
