Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House, the urgent need for an upgrade to the main car park at the entrance of Cedar Creek State School. This upgrade is essential for the safety and well-being of the students and parents during drop-off and pick-up times.

Currently, the land owned by the Transport and Main Roads faces massive traffic congestion and parking issues every day. The existing infrastructure is inadequate to handle the volume of vehicles, leading to chaotic and potentially hazardous conditions. Parents struggle to find safe parking spots and students navigate through crowded and unsafe areas, increasing the risk of accidents.

An upgraded car park would provide a safer and more organised environment for everyone involved. It would alleviate traffic congestion, reduce the likelihood of accidents and ensure a smoother and more efficient process for dropping off and collecting students. This improvement is not just a matter of convenience; it is a critical safety measure that will benefit the entire school community.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to ensure that the Cedar Creek State School car park is upgraded to ensure the safety of the children and their parents.
