TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the emphatic 'NO' from Queensland to the National Voice Referendum. On that basis your petitioners also reject the notion that the Government has the 'mandate of the people' to legislate Treaty and/or the United Nations Declaration of Rights of Indigenous People (UNDRIP) without the full prior and informed consent of all Queenslanders.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to all in its power to:

1) Immediately cease any and all further progression of any action in relation to the Path to Treaty Act 2023 including preliminary negotiations, dealings or agreements.

2) Observe all standard protocols for the formation of a Referendum, to be held, simultaneously with the 2024 State Election with one question to be put before electors:

     a) Whether Queensland voters consent to the State Government negotiating or entering into Treaties with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
