Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the inadequate sentences for youth crime and the ability to obtain bail under the Youth Justice Act.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ensure legislative amendments to ensure no bail for violent offenders; create breach of bail as an offence; ensure repeat offenders face adult standards of law; removal of the ability to order concurrent sentences; ensure victims and families receive all information on offenders. Your petitioners, further request that this legislation be known as Angus’s Legislation.
