TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland citizens draw to the attention of the House the intentional delays by the State Labor Government of a multi-million dollar project at the Port of Bundaberg. As part of the Hinkler Regional Deal, in April 2019 the Federal Government committed $10 million towards a multi-use conveyor at the port. Despite it being a 100 percent funded project, Minister Mark Bailey will not sign off on the deal that would attract more investment and jobs to the region. With no firm indication of when the conveyor will be built, businesses are thinking twice about investing in the port.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to stop the Queensland government standing in the way of development, sign the Project Agreement so work on the conveyor can start at the Port of Bundaberg and show support for investment in the Bundaberg region.
