TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the urgent need to deliver safer driving conditions along the D'Aguilar Highway.

 

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to provide for:

 

·         the widening of the D'Aguilar Highway

·         the provision of slip lanes for those who need to turn directly from the Highway into adjoining streets;

·         more overtaking opportunities between Caboolture and Woodford;

·         traffic calming, eg. speed cameras and a 50 km speed limit through the townships of Wamuran, D’Aguilar and Woodford; and
