Overview

The relatively low rate of deceased organ and tissue donation in Queensland, and how it could be improved, was the focus of this inquiry. The Committee was asked to investigate and report on whether a system of presumed consent should be introduced, and whether there were other options that should be considered to improve the organ and tissue donation rate in Queensland.
