The Bill was PASSED with Amendment on 16 October 2014. The amended Act was assented to on 27 October 2014 and will come into force on a date to be proclaimed.

Referral
On 7 August 2014 the Minister for Housing and Public Works, the Hon. Tim Mander MP, introduced the Queensland Building and Construction Commission and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2014 into the Queensland Parliament. In accordance with the Standing order 131 of the Standing Rules and Orders of the Legislative Assembly, the Bill was referred to the Transport, Housing and Local Government Committee for detailed consideration.
