Notes:
From 1851 Simpson made large land purchases in the Wacol area. His nephew, JM Ommaney, after whom a mountain was named, was killed after a fall from a horse in 1856. At the junction of Wolston Creek and the Brisbane River, Simpson's home Wolston House was designed and built by William Pettigrew in 1852 to 1853. Trustee, Brisbane General Hospital, 1848
