Queensland residents draw to the attention of the House the need for suitable car parking facilities at the proposed Helensvale North train station. Residents feel 172 car spaces is completely inadequate and will result in Queensland Rail patrons using local streets for parking which will clog narrow streets with excess vehicles. Additionally, residents request the name of the station better reflect its location.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to dramatically increase parking spaces to at least 500 at the proposed station and change the name of the station to Hope Island Road.
