About the Bill

On 1 May 2019, Mr Dale Last MP, Member for Burdekin, introduced the Criminal Code (Trespass Offences) Amendment Bill 2019.  The Bill was referred to the Legal Affairs and Community Safety Committee for detailed consideration.  The committee tabled its report on 1 November 2019.  

The Bill proposes to protect businesses from unlawful trespass activities by introducing three new criminal offences into Queensland’s Criminal Code - aggravated trespass, serious criminal trespass, and organised trespass.
