In accordance with Standing Order 131 of the Standing Rules and Orders of the Legislative Assembly, the Bill was referred to the Legal Affairs and Community Safety Committee (the committee) for detailed consideration.

The Bill

The purpose of the Bill is to set aside or revoke the decision of the Queensland Parliament made on 7 June 1989 (which was subsequently accepted by the Governor of Queensland) to remove Justice Angelo Vasta as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
