Oversight of the Integrity Commissioner

The committee's role is to:

  • monitor and review the Integrity Commissioner’s performance of the functions of the office
  • report to the Legislative Assembly on:
    • any matter concerning the Integrity Commissioner, the Commissioner’s functions or the performance of those functions that the committee considers should be drawn to the attention of the Legislative Assembly, and
    • any changes to the functions, structures and procedures of the Integrity Commissioner that are desirable for the more effective operation of the Integrity Commissioner or the Integrity Act 2009
  • examine the annual report of the Integrity Commissioner and, if appropriate, comment on any aspect of the report and make recommendations, and
  • examine the reports of strategic reviews of the Integrity Commissioner’s functions and, if appropriate, comment on any aspect of those reports and make recommendations.
