Oversight of the Queensland Human Rights Commission
Overview
In accordance with the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, the committee's functions are to:
- be consulted on the appointment of the reviewer and the terms of reference for strategic reviews of the Queensland Human Rights Commission
- consider and report on the strategic review report and make recommendations if applicable.
More information on the Queensland Human Rights Commission can be found at qhrc.qld.gov.au.
Please note, the committee does not have jurisdiction to investigate individual complaints in relation to the Queensland Human Rights Commissioner, or the Queensland Human Rights Commission.
