About the Bill 

On 1 May 2024 the Member for Traeger, Mr Robbie Katter MP introduced the Mount Isa Mines Limited Agreement (Continuing Mining Activities) Amendment Bill 2024 into the Queensland Parliament.  The Bill was referred to the Clean Economy Jobs, Resources and Transport Committee for detailed consideration.

The policy objective of the Mount Isa Mines Limited Agreement (Continuing Mining Activities) Amendment Bill 2024 (The Bill) is to ensure that Queensland’s resources are realised for the benefit of Queensland.
