Additional Information
Notes:
Bigge championed the early development of Cleveland and the push for Cleveland Point to become the major port of entry for Moreton Bay. This debate was lost to Brisbane when it was declared a warehousing port in 1849. He had a vision for Cleveland and was instrumental in building roads connecting Cleveland with Brisbane and Ipswich. While in the Legislative Council of New South Wales, Bigge supported the separation of Queensland from New South Wales
