4451-26 Allow full community consultation on proposed LMR planning changes in Wynnum and Manly
Eligibility - Residents of the State of QueenslandShop 11/222 Stratton Terrace
MANLY QLD 4179
The Petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that the Brisbane City Council is currently undertaking public consultation on proposed amendments to the Low - Medium Density Residential (LMR) planning provisions affecting parts of Wynnum and Manly.
Residents also note that several planning changes are currently being considered across the Wynnum Manly area, including the Wynnum Centre Renewal Plan and proposed LMR planning amendments in both Wynnum and Manly.
Members of the community have expressed interest in understanding how the cumulative impact of these planning changes will be assessed, particularly in relation to infrastructure capacity, transport accessibility and local planning context.
Residents are also seeking clarity on how the proposed changes align with relevant State planning frameworks, including the State Planning Policy and the South East Queensland Regional Plan (ShapingSEQ).
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ensure that the outcomes of the current public consultation process are fully considered before the State Government finalises its review of the proposed LMR planning amendments affecting the Wynnum and Manly areas.
