The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the high volumes of traffic on the Bruce Highway outside and directly opposite the Sarina State School and the associated safety issues for school children who use the existing pedestrian crossings. Your petitioners therefore request the House to assign a crossing supervisor to control both pedestrian crossings used by Sarina State School students, to ensure their safety when crossing the extremely busy Bruce Highway before and after school.
