TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the urgent need for a purpose-built specialist centre of learning for the marine industry, at the existing TAFE Queensland, Coomera Campus. With more that 27.5% of the Coomera/Pimpama region's population under the age of 15 we need to build pathways now for the years beyond high school. With the Coomera Marine precinct in such close proximity and the many State High Schools and Private Schools in close proximity to our TAFE Coomera Campus, it makes the ideal location for a specialist marine industry centric campus to be built.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do everything in its power to ensure planning and construction of a specialist centre of learning for the Coomera Marina Industry, is commenced, at the Coomera TAFE Campus, as a matter of urgency.
