The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the urgent need for a Crossing Supervisor for Christ the King School on Thompson Street, Deception Bay. The area near the crossing is complex with the T-intersection of Moore Street directly across from the schools’ vehicular exit gates with motorists needing to negotiate both the traffic travelling along Thompson Street and entering or exiting Moore Street while also being aware of the pedestrian crossing. With neighbouring schools also using this crossing, I believe there is an urgent need for a Crossing Supervisor at Thompson Street, Deception Bay for Christ the King School.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to take all steps necessary to implement a Crossing Supervisor at Thompson Street, Deception Bay for the Christ the King School.
