Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the significant under-staffing at the Childers Courthouse. The courthouse is also utilised as a QGAP centre providing access to Queensland Government services for all residents in the southern part of the Burnett Electorate. There are lengthy delays of one to two hours before people are seen by a customer service representative. Existing staff are reportedly operating under significant pressure with very heavy workloads.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to take whatever action it deems appropriate to ensure the State Government provides more resources at the Childers Courthouse to better meet the needs of the community.
