TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House that the recent announcement by Agriculture Minister Mark Furner to close agricultural colleges in Longreach and Emerald. This is a severe blow to the agriculture industry and will damage the long-term viability of the industry in Queensland.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to reverse the State Government's decision to close agricultural colleges in Longreach and Emerald at the end of 2019.
