Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House to the imminent danger to motorist’s safety as they try to negotiate the Booral and Keen Road intersection at Bunya Creek as a priority, and immediately plan for upgrades to all intersections along Booral Road between Maryborough Hervey Bay Road and Main Street.

The intersections have seen many accidents because of poor older design in 100km zones. It is not at all safe for any turning vehicle on Booral Road. The most recent accident was on the 13 March 2019 where there were serious injuries. It is only a matter of time before there will be loss of life.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to call on the Queensland Main Roads Minister, Mr Mark Bailey to urgently redesign and fix the Booral and Keen Road intersection at Bunya Creek and forward planning of redesign and upgrade to all intersections on Booral Road.
