Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the requirements of the SEQ Regional Plan that have resulted in catastrophic decisions to overdevelop in the Moreton Bay Regional Council area. This can be seen particularly in the Warner Investigation area where the environmental impact of the plans will decimate habitat for native flora and fauna. Similar instances can also be seen at Everton Hills, Narangba and Albany Creek.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to review the SEQ Regional Plan with particular attention to the projected population building requirements placed on the Moreton Bay Regional Council, the way in which emerging areas are then chosen by the Council and the lack of infrastructure to support these demands.
